The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation’s 2018 Clean Water Block Grant Program is intended to support the construction of high-priority, cost-effective, non-agricultural clean water improvement projects statewide. Projects to be constructed must be identified in the DEC Watershed Project Database “Go List.” The program may also support high priority final design/construction and final design projects, however, at a lower priority.

For partners with CWBG projects that have been cleared by the DEC or who are in interested in submitting a potential project for screening, you will find the most current relevant program documents here.

The SWCRPC is currently administering the Clean Water Block Grant under contract to the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (VT DEC). This is a pot of $1,500,000 for state-wide water quality improvement projects, $1,350,000 of which is to be used for project implementation. This program requires 20% municipal match which can be provided in the form of cash or in-kind services. These funds are intended to fund final design, design-build, or construction projects that reduce sediment and nutrient pollution in Vermont’s surface water resources.
